The Nanny Loft

Choosing a Nanny is One of the Most Important
Decisions You’ll Ever Make

The Nanny Loft® works closely with families to personally match them with outstanding caregivers who bring partnership and collaboration to the home. Our families need someone with a wide range of child care skills and who is able to perform them with grace and compassion.

Why Choose The Nanny Loft®?

We Connect with your family

We begin by offering an in-home consultation so we can observe your family and the children in your own environment – we want to get to know you, to ensure we understand your needs and family dynamics.

Customized Matchmaking

We’ll generate a shortlist of ideal nanny candidates drawn from our roster of the best nannies and child care providers. Only about 4% of applicants make it to our 3-step interview process. From those applicants we will introduce you to the top 3 candidates so you can schedule interviews in the comfort of your own home.

DefineD Duties

We’ll work with you to create a job description, an offer letter, and nanny agreement to ensure everyone understands the full scope of expected duties. Defining and communicating scope helps everyone understand exactly what’s needed and how to deliver.

Ongoing Support

We’re always available to answer questions, provide suggestions, and offer a network of support for both your family and your nanny.

Our Process

free consultation

Book your free 15 minute phone consultation by completing the Family Inquiry Form. We will contact you right away to schedule a convenient time for the call. During this free consultation we will gather information about your family and learn your expectations while also discussing how we operate and answering any questions you may have.

agreement

After our free consultation, you will need to complete our Family Application and pay the $500 application fee so we can schedule our 1-hour our in-home or virtual consultation. Together, we will complete a detailed family profile which will provide us the information we need to help find your ideal child care candidate.

search fee

Initial Search Fee is paid in full before the process begins. This is non-refundable, but it is applied to your final invoice should you move forward with hiring an employee through us. It covers our initial consultation meetings, advertising, and nanny interviews. Everything you need before your official hire!

nanny search

Depending on your specifications and needs, a typical search may take 3 to 6 weeks, but may take longer due to COVID-19. All of our child care candidates undergo a rigorous screening and selection process and all references will be vetted.

interviews

We will provide you with 3 nanny profiles that we have chosen for you. Each report will include the nanny's personal as well as professional background information, our verifications, and their contact details. You will then arrange and conduct the interviews based off of your schedule. We will provide your family with questions and topics to discuss during the interview.

ready to hire?

We will provide you with a template for an offer letter along with a family and nanny agreement template that you can use to create the legal employment contract. Once you and your child care candidate have signed the contract we request a copy for our records and ask that the final payment to the agency be made before your caregiver commences work.

payment

A credit card is stored on file. We never charge it without your knowledge, and it is stored as a convenient way to process payments.

post hiring

Post-hiring, even after employment begins, we are still here for you! We offer a 30, 60, or 90 day replacement period for our long-term nannies. If at any time during that period you find that your nanny is not meeting your needs, or if your nanny resigns for any reason, we will, at our sole discretion, do one of the following: Make reasonable efforts according to applicable law to provide additional referrals for a maximum of one replacement Candidate to Client or refund 30% of the Referral Fee to Client.

support

We provide support as you establish a relationship with your nanny. If working with a nanny is new to you, we can offer you resources and information that will help you navigate this new territory. Your success with your new nanny is very important to us, and we work tirelessly to ensure you have the best possible child care experience.
